Meet Our Pastor
Michael Creed and his wife, Valerie
I would like to give you a friendly invitation to join us here at Independent Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland. Our church was started by Rev. Kenneth Dean, a church planter, in August 1960 with five families. God has blessed, and we have continued to grow.
We are an exciting, vibrant ministry just on the outskirts of Washington, DC. Independent Baptist Church is a fundamental, Bible-believing, Baptist church. We understand our responsibility as a Bible-believing church is to carry out the great commission to see people saved, baptized, and discipled.
There is a place in our ministry for everyone – from birth to senior adults. Independent Baptist Church is busily involved in many ministries – bus ministry, Hispanic ministry, deaf ministry, jail ministry, and Bridge to Recovery (a ministry reaching functioning addicts).
We believe God has placed us in Clinton, Maryland, for such a time as this; and we desire by God’s grace to reach Clinton and the surrounding metropolitan-Washington area with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. God has blessed over the years, and we have had the privilege of seeing folks leave our ministry to go into full-time Christian service as pastors, missionaries, and teachers in Christian schools.
